Soft Heart- 

This is what it truly feels like to hurt. Whether it is loss, fear, abandonment, past happenings, trauma, missing someone. There is a pain that makes some days unbearable. And on days that are bearable- the ache is still felt. Even when the arrow is removed, the wound is still there and it will leave behind a scar in its place. I have made the arrow to be removable to represent this feeling.

The rabbit body is sculpted from ceramic clay and slow fired for 12 hours. Hand painted with a handmade arrow made from wood, clay, string and glass beads.

This piece shouldn’t require much cleaning, but should you wish to rid it of any dust in the future, I recommend a gentle spray with canned air.
