Driftwood Hanging Bat

This is a ceramic slab with pressed Flora imprints and a painted bat. It is wired to a found piece of driftwood. This particular slab cracked in the kiln firing giving it a flaw which was repaired with a technique called kintsugi.

everything is made by hand and fired in a kiln in my garage- a process that takes weeks to achieve.

These slabs are made to hang on a wall- all that is needed is a long nail. They are not heavy so a stud should not be required.
